Luckycharms is a desktop application for Windows, sold and distributed exclusively through the Microsoft Store. These terms cover your use of the application and of this website.

The Store terms come first

Because the app is bought and installed through the Microsoft Store, your purchase is governed by the Microsoft Services Agreement and the Standard Application License Terms shown at purchase. Where anything below conflicts with those, those win. What follows is what applies in addition to them.

Using the app

A single one-time payment buys the app outright. There is no subscription, no in-app account, no licence key, and no usage limit. Once you own it you may use it for personal or commercial purposes.

The licence is attached to your Microsoft account rather than to a file, which means it follows you to every PC you sign in to, within the device limits the Store sets. It also means the app is not yours to redistribute: passing the package to someone else is not permitted, and a copy installed under an account that does not own it will not run.

Payment and refunds

Microsoft is the seller and merchant of record. The price is shown in your own currency, including any applicable tax, before you commit. This site takes no payment and has no card field: we never see, handle, transmit or store your payment details at any point.

Refunds, cancellations, and any statutory right to cancel are handled by Microsoft under the Store's own refund policy, through your Microsoft account order history — not by us, because we hold no record of your transaction and have no ability to reverse it. If the app is faulty or does not work as described, please write to us as well as requesting the refund: it is the only way we hear about it, and we would rather fix it.

No warranty

Luckycharms is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Use of the app is at your own risk. It runs on your machine with no server behind it, so there is no service-level commitment of any kind to offer. Nothing here limits any statutory rights you have as a consumer that cannot be excluded by agreement.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damages arising from the use, or inability to use, Luckycharms, including indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

Acceptable use

Don't use the deep link handler (luckydangle://) or the app itself to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorised access to other people's systems. Beyond that, there isn't much to restrict — the app doesn't touch a network, an account, or anyone else's data.

Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted on this page with a new date at the top.
